Dr. Tissen is an outstanding clinician and neuroradiologist with the largest practical experience in endoscopic treatment of vascular disorders of the spinal cord.

Dr. Tissen’s MD thesis was dedicated to selective spinal angiography; his DMSc thesis was devoted to X-ray diagnosis and endovascular treatment of arteriovenous aneurysms of the spinal cord. He has coauthored 35 research articles. He have supervised 18 PhD students and DMSc candidates. He is the Excellent Worker of Public Health (1980).

Dr. Tissen is a member of the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, a Laureate of the Russian Government Award (2013).
