Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, Professor of the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurological Resuscitation at the A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Ministry of Health of Russia.
Dr. Petrikov’s research activity focuses on intensive care for neurosurgical patients. His MD thesis was entitled ‘Pneumonia prevention and treatment in patients with intracranial hemorrhages’ (2002); his DMSc thesis was entitled ‘Treatment of secondary brain injuries in patients with intracranial hemorrhages’ (2009). Dr. Petrikov is a leading specialist in Russia in the problems of resuscitation of patients with intracranial hemorrhages and intensive care of critical patients. He is one of the organizers of the system of care for patients with acute cerebral blood flow disorders in Moscow.
Dr. Petrikov has coauthored 154 research articles (h-index 8), the National Guidelines on Intensive Care, several inventions, 3 practical guidelines, and 3 training manuals on the treatment of patients with intracranial hemorrhages. He actively participates in the implementation of current methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute cerebral blood flow disorders and acute coronary syndrome into routine clinical practice. He is also involved in the coordination of the measures to prevent, diagnose, and treat vascular diseases in Moscow. He has 2 patents for inventions. Dr. Petrikov is the President of the Interregional Civic Organization ‘Alliance of Neurological Anesthesiologists and Resuscitationists’. Dr. Petrikov had supervised successful defense of 5 PhD dissertations. Eight theses were successfully defended under his supervision.
