MD, DMSc, Professor, Principal Research Fellow at the N.N. Burdenko National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery, Ministry of Health of Russia; Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.
Dr. Likhterman has dedicated his professional life to studying clinical course of traumatic brain injuries, vascular brain diseases, and neurological oncology. His MD thesis was entitled ‘Septum pellucidum tumors’ (1962); his DMSc thesis considered phases in the clinical course of brain tumors and clinical diagnosis of their histological characteristics (1973).
Dr. Likhterman has coauthored 164 reserach articles and 56 monographs and guidelines.
Dr. Likhterman is a Laureate of the State Award of the Russian Federation and the Russian Government Award. He is a board member of several Russian and international journals, member of the Academic Council of the N.N. Burdenko National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery, and an expert in neurology and neurosurgery.
