Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MD, DMSc, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurological Resuscitation at the A.I. Evdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Ministry of Health of Russia.
Dr. Levchenko’s research activity primarily concerns dynamics of cerebral edema in neurosurgical patients, characteristics of the clinical course of multisystem injury with traumatic brain injury, and development of surgical tactics for patients with traumatic brain injury. His MD thesis was entitled ‘Capabilities of contact-free impedancemetry in the diagnosis and monitoring of cerebral edema’; his DMSc thesis was entitled ‘Surgical treatment of cranioorbital injuries during the acute stage of traumatic brain injury’. He has coauthored 51 research articles, 2 lecture books, and 5 guidance manuals; he owns 6 patents.
Three theses were successfully defended under his supervision.
