Dr. Kravets’ research activity primarily concerns severe traumatic brain injury and the development of methods to improve treatment outcomes. His MD thesis was dedicated to intraoperative diagnosis in patients with traumatic compression of the brain. This was one of the first studies on this problem in Russia. The title of his DMSc thesis was ‘Cerebral blood flow and viscoelastic properties of the brain in surgical interventions for its injuries and disorders’ (1997). He has coauthored 33 research articles. He is a Laureate of the Nizhny Novgorod Award (2003). Dr. Kravets was awarded the Order of Honor.
