Dr. Dashyan’s research activity is aimed at the improvement of treatment outcomes in patients with vascular brain diseases, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and strokes.
The title of his MD thesis was ‘Early surgical treatment of arterial aneurysms of the brain accompanied by intracranial hematoma’; the title of his DMSc thesis was ‘Surgical treatment of hemorrhagic stroke.’
Dr. Dashyan’s works allowed to implement on the federal level minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for surgical treatment of patients with strokes during the acute stage of the disease. He has coauthored 58 research articles, 11 monographs, guidelines, and textbooks.
His awards include ‘Neurosurgeon of the Year’ at the ‘Formula of Life’, Moscow Healthcare Festival of the Moscow Government (2014), Award named after Prof. P.Ya. Gaponyuk I class (2015) (awarded for achievements in the treatment of vascular brain diseases), acknowledgement of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation ‘For meaningful participation in expert activities of the working groups of the Science Board of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation’, State Award of the Udmurt Republic ‘For excellent results in the development and practical application of new methods and approaches in medicine and healthcare.’ Three PhD theses were successfully defended under his supervision.
